How to prepare Turkish coffee (to get the perfect "foam"):
The secret to Turkish coffee is "low heat." Follow these steps for the perfect cup:
- The standard: Use a Turkish coffee cup to measure the cold water, and pour it into the cezve (pot).
- Coffee: Add two (heaped) teaspoons of Sultan mix to each cup of water.
- Sugar (to taste): Add sugar now if you wish, and do not stir the mixture after placing it on the heat.
- Stirring: Stir the coffee, water, and sugar well before placing it on the heat until the lumps are completely dissolved.
- Low heat: Place the pot on the lowest possible heat . (The longer it cooks, the more flavorful it becomes).
- The crucial moment: As soon as the foam (the froth) starts to rise and small bubbles form on the sides, immediately remove the pot from the heat before it boils .
